SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superband BTS’ music video for the song “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” which was released in 2017, has surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube.

The music video exceeded 1.2 billion views on June 1 at 3:06 a.m., according to the agency Big Hit Music on Thursday. It is in about six months since it surpassed 1.1 billion views in December, 2021.

Accordingly, it has become the group’s fourth music video to reach 1.2 billion views, following “Boy With Luv,” “DNA,” and “Dynamite.”

“MIC Drop” remix is a remixed version of the namesake track of the album “LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her,” released in September, 2017, by a famous DJ Steve Aoki.

The song entered the Billboard’s main singles chart “HOT 100” at No. 28 shortly after its release and maintained on the chart for ten consecutive weeks.

The group currently holds 37 music videos that have reached hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.
