SEOUL, June 10 (Yonhap) -- "The new album compiles the life story of the group and Army (the group's global fandom). It is even more special because it contains our time and memories." (J-Hope)

Regarding the anthology album "Proof," which will drop on the afternoon of the 10th, the band expressed their expectations, saying, "It is an album that contains BTS' thoughts on the past, present, and future."

Leader RM shared through the agency BigHit Music, "It is a special album that wraps up the first chapter of BTS, now that we mark the ninth anniversary this year," adding, "We put a lot of effort on the lyrics as much the message is for the fans who've been with us for the past 9 years."

Suga said, "We also paid attention to the arrangement of the songs since the album contains the history of BTS," and recommended listening to the tracks in order.

The member emphasized, "It was an honor to capture the 9 years of our journey. I hope the listeners can revisit them while following our footsteps."

J-hope said, "I'm happy and excited to release an album after a while. I want to enjoy it with our Army as soon as possible," adding, "The album contains our soul, so I hope you love it."

Jungkook shared his thoughts about the new album, "It feels like I'm wrapping up after writing a thick book," adding, "We made this album by paying attention to everything just like we have done so far, so it shows the time and our current emotions well."

The members of BTS expressed overwhelming emotions as they released a new album after a long time.

This is the band's most recent release in 11 months after the single "Butter" dropped on July 9, 2021. It also is the first BTS album after its seventh EP "BE" rolled out in November 2020.

Jin explained, "The album reminds me of the past nine years. I will also listen to it often," adding, "There are songs that have not been unveiled or have not been released, so fans will enjoy listening to them."

Jimin shared, "I feel both happy and strange because it has been a while since we released an album, " adding, "It felt more special because I was able to look at the feelings of my own and our members and talk together (while preparing for this album)."

V said, "Since it is an album that contains our journey of 9 years, I hope it can be a precious gift to the fans who support us and helped create a new history."

BTS’ new album will drop on June 10 at 1 p.m. in Korea and at midnight in Eastern Standard Time.

The group will hold its first stage on "Proof Live," which will be hosted on June 13 at 9 p.m. through YouTube, and appear on various domestic TV music programs starting with Mnet's "M Countdown," KBS 2TV's "Music Bank," and SBS' "Inkigayo."
