SEOUL, Aug. 13 (Yonhap) -- Actor Kim Yong-gun (75), father of A-list actor Ha Jung-woo who has recently appeared in court for alleged illegal use of propofol, has ended legal dispute regarding premarital pregnancy scandal with 39-year younger partner 'A.'
“Kim and his long-time partner have resolved misunderstandings after having met in person. The two have come to an agreement as such,” announced A’s lawyer Sun Jong-moon through an announcement on the 12th.
“Regarding the lawsuit, my client has accepted Kim’s apology and reconciled with him,” said the lawyer.
“Kim has promised to provide his best for the baby as the father,” added Sun. A has also withdrawn her lawsuit against the baby’s father on the 12th.
“For those who would have felt astonishment and disappointment with the incident I sincerely apologize,” said Kim.
“For the last few days, I shared serious conversations with my long-met partner who will soon be a mother. Through the conversation, I looked back on my overlooking the partner’s wounds and once again gave my words of apology.”
“I will do my best for the health of the mother-to-be and for the child. I once again apologize to those who have loved and had faith in me,” added the actor.
“It is rather late, but I realized that my child is more important than saving my face, so I acknowledged my sons of the pregnancy. I will take full responsibility for safe delivery and raising the child,” announced Kim.
Kim debuted through KBS open recruitment for talents and has been loved for a long time featured in various films, series and variety shows. He married his ex-wife in 1977 and had two sons, actor Ha Jung-woo (Kim Sung-hoon) and Kim Young-hoon. Kim divorced in 1996.
