SEOUL, Apr. 23 (Yonhap) – K-pop girl group TWICE will hold a concert for three days from Apr. 23 at Tokyo Dome in Japan for the first time among K-pop girl groups, according to the agency JYP Entertainment.

TWICE originally planned to perform from Apr. 23 to 24, but decided to hold the additional concert on Apr. 25 thanks to such passionate support from fans. The seats for the three-day concert were all sold out.

JYP Entertainment said, "Even if we include the local female artists, TWICE is the second female artist in history, following the group AKB48, that holds concerts at Tokyo Dome for three times,” adding, "The group broke another record following the history of entering Tokyo Dome in March, 2019, which was in the shortest period of time since the debut of foreign artists.”

Tokyo Dome in Japan is one of the representative concert halls in the country that accommodates about 50,000 people, and is often called a "dream stage" for Japanese singers because it is not easy to fill the seats.

TWICE will also hold a live viewing event that will broadcast the concert live at movie theaters nationwide on Apr. 24.

From May 14 to 15, TWICE will also perform at the North American Stadium, Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, United States, for the first time as K-pop girl group.
