SEOUL, Mar. 31 (Yonhap) -- The Japanese animation "Suzume" is expected to continue to dominate this weekend.
According to the Korea Box-office Information System on Friday, the movie was watched by 45,000 people the previous day, recording a cumulative audience of 3,203,000 people, keeping it at the top of the Korean box office.
Since its release on the 8th of this month, the film has remained at the top of the box office for 24 days. The real-time reservation rate in the morning also recorded 35%, ranking first.
Directed by Makoto Shinkai, "Suzume" depicts a high school girl Suzume taking an adventure to close the door that calls for disaster with Sota, a young man who has turned into a chair.
