Pre-orders for debut album of Le Sserafim surpasses 380,000 copies

SEOUL, May 1 (Yonhap) -- Source Music announced on the 1st that the pre-orders for the first mini-album of the girl group Le Sserafim, which are set to debut on the 2nd, have exceeded 380,000 copies.

The pre-orders for this album surpassed 270,000 copies in one week of pre-order, and had an increase of 100,000 copies in nine days.

The debut album includes five songs with the title song “FEARLESS,” “The World Is My Oyster,” “Blue Flame,” “The Great Mermaid,” and “Sour Grapes.”

Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, and also known as the “Father of BTS,” took over the overall production and has melted various genres including alternative pop, disco-punk, and R&B.

"Fearless" is a funk-based alternative pop genre that has the message of moving forward without being shaken by the past.

“Blue Flame” is the theme song of “Crimson Heart,” HYBE’s original story content. It contains the story of the six members following the blue firefly that symbolizes the desire to a magical wilderness. Members Kim Chae-won and Huh Yun-jin participated in writing the lyrics for this song.

They have recorded 30 million views for their pre-promotion video on YouTube as of 1 p.m. on the 30th.

Le Sserafim is the first HYBE girl group consisting of 6 members, including Sakura Miyawaki and Kim Chae-won, from the popular girl group IZ*ONE, and Huh Yun-jin from the audition program “Produce 48.”
