SEOUL, Oct. 30 (Yonhap) -- Kang Seung-yoon of boy band WINNER will make his solo comeback after four years and seven months, his agency said on Thursday.

According to YG Entertainment, Kang will release his second full-length solo album “Page 2” on Nov. 3.

“I freely expressed the kind of music I truly wanted to make,” Kang said through his agency. “This album is the result of my growth and expansion as a musician.”

It marks his first full-length solo album since “Page” in 2021.

The 13-track album includes the title song “Me (美),” along with “Barefoot,” “Far Away,” and others, all produced by Kang himself. Red Velvet’s Seulgi and singer Eun Ji-won participated as featuring artists on “Love Play” and “I’ll Come to Get You,” respectively.

Kang explained that each song reflects the emotions of different narrators, forming a kind of “short story collection.” “From the excitement of new love to fading relationships and the calm after separation, the tracks are arranged to follow that emotional flow,” he said.

Having completed his mandatory military service between 2023 and late 2024, Kang said the confidence he gained during that period inspired his creative process.

“One of my fellow soldiers was someone who pursued his dreams and artistry with conviction,” he recalled. “Seeing him made me realize that if I don’t accept myself as an artist, my work can’t truly be art. That helped me overcome my uncertainty.”

He added, “After that realization, I promised myself to create with confidence. ‘Page 2’ embodies that conviction and self-assurance.”
