SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- K-pop supergroup has returned to S. Korea on Thursday afternoon after wrapping up its visit to the White House.
BTS finished the entry formalities at Incheon Airport at 5:50 p.m. and came out of the entrance. The members waved to the fans and reporters and left the airport amid a flurry of camera flashes.
Suga wore a neat white t-shirt with a black hat and Jin showed off his fashion style with a comfortable white shirt and a white hat.
Jungkook wore black pants with a white long sleeve shirt and greeted his fans with a bow. The member didn’t forget to make a V pose for his fans.
Among the seven members, V arrived early in the morning due to his schedule.
BTS had a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden to celebrate the last day of the "AANHPI Heritage Month," on May 31st, (local time).
BTS and President Biden discussed ways to deal with rising anti-Asian hate crimes in the U.S. This was the first time a Korean singer visited the White House.
RM thanked Biden for a recent decision to sign the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act into law and said, "We just want to be a little help and we truly appreciate the White House and the government's trying to find solutions.”
The members of BTS and Biden also made hearts with their fingers while posing for photos at the Oval Office.
The group also joined a press briefing before meeting with the U.S. president and shared their opinion about the issues of anti-Asian hate crimes.
The airport was crowded with reporters and fans as if to prove the group’s status raised by the visit to the White House. Pickets with members’ names like ‘Jungkook’ and ‘J-hope’ were all over the airport and people crowded to the railing above the arrival hall to watch BTS’s return.
BTS plans to release a new album “Proof” which embodies the 9 years history of the group, on June 10th.
