SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- Shinsegae Department Store and start-up “Running Point” will co-hold an untact marathon to aid homeless dogs and protect endangered animals, the department store announced Thursday.
Those who wish to participate have to choose between “Maltese Run” (3.4 km) and “Rhinoceros Run” (4km) from either SSC.com or Animal Race website until the 25th.
Participants will receive a medal, badge, treats and stickers through delivery.
Also, those who run the length of course they applied for with their pet dog anywhere they like, measure the distance they ran and post it on their social media page, they can receive a certification.
The marathon must be done between the 13th and the 30th of November.
The Department Store is planning to donate 10% of the marathon ticket sales to an animal protection organization Kara and to the World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
