SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singer-rapper Yoon Mi-rae will release her new digital single "Breath" at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, her agency Feel Ghood Music said.
"Breath" is an acoustic R&B track in which Yoon interprets winter emotions through her own sensibility, characterized by a restrained sound and deep emotional resonance.
Yoon participated in writing and composing the song with her husband, Tiger JK.
The agency said the track is built simply around guitar sounds, stripping away unnecessary embellishments to focus on the emotional arc of Yoon’s vocals.
“Even without drums or flashy chord progressions, Yoon Mi-rae naturally leads the song with her distinctive interpretive style and outstanding vocal ability,” it said.
The lyrics depict lingering emotions after a breakup through small winter images such as hands in pockets, cold coffee and the scent of a faded scarf.
The agency added that the musical chemistry between Yoon and Tiger JK creates a deeply resonant sound that delicately conveys winter sentiments and broad emotional appeal.
