SEOUL, April 2 (Yonhap) -- The group Highlight (HIGHLIGHT) has regained the ability to use the team name BEAST, which they had to relinquish due to trademark issues.
Highlight's agency, Around Us Entertainment, announced on the 2nd, "We have reached a smooth mutual agreement with Cube Entertainment (former agency) regarding the use of the 'BEAST' trademark."
Debuting as BEAST in 2009, the members established their own agency in 2016 but faced trademark issues with their former agency, preventing them from using the name BEAST.
Ultimately, in 2017, they re-debuted under the new team name Highlight and continued their activities.
With this agreement, Highlight can now use the name BEAST again if they choose, but they plan to maintain their current team name.

Around Us expressed, "Separate from their stage name, being able to show the name BEAST feels refreshing," and added, "We hope this news serves as a meaningful gift to Highlight and their fans as they celebrate their 15th anniversary."
Highlight recently released their fifth mini-album 'Switch On' last month.
