SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment said on Monday that its joint concert “SMTOWN LIVE 2025” at Japan’s Tokyo Dome on the previous two days was held to a sold-out crowd.

Marking the agency’s 30th anniversary this year, SM has staged SMTOWN Live shows in cities around the world, including Seoul in January, Mexico City, Los Angeles and London. This year also marks the 15th anniversary of the event’s Japan shows.

The Aug. 9 concert was broadcast live in movie theaters in 10 regions, including Korea and Japan, while the Aug. 10 concert was streamed via “Beyond LIVE” and aired on Japan’s KNTV.

At a press conference before the Aug. 9 show, singer Kangta said, “I’m proud of the many junior artists at SM who have contributed to the growth of K-pop, and I look forward to the future. This 30th anniversary marks a new beginning for SM, and I believe more diverse music and artists will be born.”

The lineup included Kangta, TVXQ!, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, SHINee’s Key and Minho, EXO’s Suho, Chanyeol and Kai, Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi and Joy, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, aespa, Riize, NCT Wish, Hearts2Hearts and Seung Han & Soul.

At the end of the concert, all performers joined on stage to sing H.O.T.’s “Light” with the audience. It was also announced that SMTOWN Live will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, next year.
