SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Yonhap) -- Lisa of BLACKPINK’s choreography video for “MONEY” has marked over 200 million views in 38 days.
Exclusive Performance Video for “MONEY,” a solo track included in the artist’s recent solo album, has surpassed 200 million vies on YouTube at around 2:14 a.m. on Nov. 1, her agency YG Entertainment announced. This is a record in about 38 days of the video’s release.
This was the fastest choreography video among K-POP artists to have reached a 200 million view, the agency said. They added that the record Lisa broke with her video was her band, BLACKPINK’s choreography video for their hit song “How You Like That” which marked 200 million views in 45 days and 4 hours.
“It is rare for a choreography video, not a music video, recording 100 millions of view in such short time period. The video was an accomplishment the artist achieved only with high-quality music and performance without a particular stage performance,” said YG Entertainment.
The side track has been climbing up the chart after a month of its release. It topped on iTunes Top Song chart in 38 countries and touched 5th rank on the world’s biggest music streaming platform, Spotify Global Chart.
Furthermore, after entering the U.K. Official Chart Top 100 as 81st rank, it jumped 35 ranks up to land on No. 46 and made Lisa, the first female K-POP solo artist to stay in-chart for 4 consecutive weeks.
The song has even ranked 2nd on Global YouTube Top 100 chart, 11th on Billboard Global 200 and 9th on Billboard Global Excl. U.S., gaining popularity for 6 consecutive weeks.
