SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- IU, the unrivaled ‘iconic
musician’ loved by the public, will return with a 7-month awaited new digital
single “strawberry moon.”
“IU will release her new digital single ‘strawberry
moon’ at 12 a.m. on the 19th,” announced the artist’s agency EDAM
Entertainment Friday.
The agency has unveiled the concept teaser
for the single through its official social media channel and has announced the release
date.
In the teaser that looks like an English newspaper,
a couple holding hands, IU carrying a camera and the sentence “IU’s ‘strawberry
moon’ that makes love come true will rise” implicitly deliver the upcoming song’s
contents.
This is a new release in about 7 months since
her 5th regular “LILAC” in March.
It seems the return of Korea’s most popular
and influential singer of the entertainment scene will be sweeping all the
attention.
IU who has secured her position as No. 1 top
solo singer for more than 10 years, shows a sensation marking top rank on music
charts and all her side tracks taking over high ranks whenever she releases a song.
Her 5th regular “LILAC” which contains
life story of her 20s received immense love with its title song “LILAC” along
with its pre-release, “Celebrity.” “Celebrity” topped on Gaon Music Chart, ranked
by Korea Music Content Association, for music of the first half of the year as
well.
