SEOUL, May 21 (Yonhap) -- Singer Park Jae-jung is enlisting in the army today, May 21, as announced by his agency, Romantic Factory.
On the eve of his enlistment, Park Jae-jung hosted a live broadcast on social media, stating, "This is my last live broadcast before shaving my head... I've been saying I'd go since the 2021 Jangchung Gymnasium concert, and now the time has finally come. I want to enlist quietly, so only my parents and my manager will be accompanying me."
He urged his fans, "Please wait for me until I return."
In a show of support, fellow singer Roy Kim, who previously served in the Marine Corps, personally cut Park Jae-jung's hair.
Park Jae-jung gained significant popularity last year with his hit song "Let's Say Goodbye."
Just before his enlistment, he continued to be active, releasing a self-composed song titled "What's Going On" on May 9 and producing Kim Chang-woon’s debut single on Mnet's "Mega Karaoke Survival VS."
