A school of dace swims upstream in the Namdae Stream in Gangneung, a coastal town in Gangwon Province, northeastern South Korea, on April 25, 2023. The river fish, called "hwangeo" in Korean, live most of their lives in the sea after being born in a river, and return to the river to lay eggs in March and April. (Yonhap)
