SEOUL, Apr. 13 (Yonhap) – S. Korean virtual human Han YuA has debuted as a singer.

Smilegate announced that Han released the debut song “I Like That,” which was co-produced with GIANTSTEP Inc., an AI-based real-time content solution company, through diverse music platforms on Apr. 12 at 6 p.m.

At the same time, the short version of “I Like That” music video was unveiled on YouTube.

The debut song “I Like That” of Han YuA, whose stage name is “YuA,” is a dance song that contains rhythmical synthesizer sounds.

Smilegate explained that in order to the realize YuA’s own unique voice, it gathered hundreds of voice data from diverse age groups and created the optimal voice after synthesizing with artificial intelligence(AI).

The music production was in collaboration of CJ ENM and Smilegate while producer Park Woo-sang, who composed hit songs, such as Hwasa's "Maria" and soundtracks for many dramas, including “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God,” participated in writing lyrics and composing the song.

Kim Do-hee of the famous dance team “1MILLION Dance Studio” was in charge of the choreography, and the music video was directed by Vikings League, which produced music videos of "Red Velvet" and "IZ*ONE."

Baek Min-jung, the director of Smilegate IP business, said, "We look forward to seeing many people enjoy and feel comfort through YuA's first album,” adding, “We ask for your interest and support for the singer’s first song."
