Ancient wooden plow excavated
Work to excavate a wooden plow believed to have been made during the Goguryo Kingdom (37 B.C.- A.D. 668) is under way at a collecting basin of Mongchon Toseong, an earthen fortress built during the Baekje Kingdom (18 B.C.-A.D. 660), in Seoul. The farming tool's structure is indigenous as it is unseen in East Asia, including China and Japan, according to the Seoul Baekje Museum. Seoul was a ferocious battlefield among the three ancient kingdoms -- Goguryo, Baekje and Silla -- and the capital of Baekje between 18 B.C.- A.D. 475. (Yonhap)
