SEOUL, Apr. 28 (Yonhap) -- Pianist Sohn Min-soo is holding a concert at Myeong-dong Cathedral at 8 p.m. on the 2nd of next month.
This concert is the opening performance for the "Korean Young Artist Series" that Myeong-dong Cathedral started in 2019 to foster the next-generation artists.
Sohn Min-soo, who also took the role of an artistic director this year, will be performing all songs from the J.S. Bach Goldberg Variations BWV 998. All the money collected will be used for scholarships for the young Korean Artists selected this year.
The young artists selected this year include violinist Nuri Jeong, Arete String Quartet, and pianists Jeong Ji-won, Lim Yun-chan, and Hong Min-su. Lim Yun-chan and Hong Min-soo were selected as the Young Artists in 2019, but their recitals were cancelled or held privately due to COVID-19, which is why they were selected once again this year.
