SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) -- The original soundtrack of Netflix's animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters" continued its strong performance on the Billboard 200 chart, remaining in the Top 5 in its fourth week.
According to Billboard’s preview article on Sunday (local time), the soundtrack ranked No. 5 on the Billboard 200, down three spots from the previous week.
The album debuted at No. 8 in its first week and climbed to No. 3 in the second week. In the third week, it reached a personal best at No. 2.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums based on traditional sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA).
During the latest charting week, the "K-pop Demon Hunters" OST recorded 85,000 album units, up 14% from the previous week.
Billboard noted that the album is the only soundtrack since the Billboard 200 began including album units in December 2014 to debut in the Top 10 and then increase in units for three consecutive weeks in its second, third, and fourth weeks.

SEA accounted for 79,000 units, up 14% from the previous week; physical album sales rose 13% to 5,000 units; and TEA grew 10% to 1,000 units.
The soundtrack's streaming count during the week reached 109.53 million, marking the highest weekly figure for an OST since "Encanto" in March 2022, which logged 114.67 million during its seventh week at No. 1.
Domestically, the OST also led Korea’s major streaming platform Melon’s Top 100 chart, with "Golden" at No. 1 and "Soda Pop" at No. 2, securing its place at the top of a fiercely competitive summer K-pop market.
Meanwhile, TWICE’s fourth full-length album "This Is For" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 album units, marking the group’s seventh Top 10 entry on the chart.
ATEEZ’s "Golden Hour: Part.3" also re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 7 following the release of a new version titled "In Your Fantasy Edition."
