SEOUL, December 5 (Yonhap) -- South Korean historical thriller film "The OWL" starring Yoo Hae-jin and Ryu Jun-yeol as main characters has topped the weekend box office for two consecutive weeks. 


According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council, South Korean movie "The OWL" topped S.Korean box office with 553,000 audience (accounting for 45.7% sales revenue)  during the weekend (December 2~4), and maintained its top position despite the new movies. The cumulative audience of the movie is 1,763,000. 
 
Comedy movie "Men of Plastic" starring Ma Dong-seok as the main character which was released on November 30 ranked second with 214,000 audience (17.7% sales)  during the weekend. 
 
Movie "Birth," depicting the journey of Kim Tae-gon, which released on the same day with "Men of Plastic" attracted 75,000 audience (5.5%), ranking third.


In addition, animations such as "Pororo, Get Rid of the Virus!" (4th), "One Piece Film Red" (5th), Japanese youth romance "Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight" (6th), "NCT Dream the Movie: In a Dream," (9th) depicting BTS and real situations of the group NCT Dreams concert were ranked top ten.   
 
Marvel Studios' "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," which marks its fourth week of release, ranked seventh, attracting 12,000 (2.6%) audience only.
