The Paris Korean Film Festival, which runs for eight days in the middle of Paris until November 1 will be screening 68 Korean films, including 26 full length films and 42 short films.
As for the opening and closing films, "Life is Beautiful" by director Choi Kook-hee, starring Ryu Seung-ryong and Yeom Jung-ah, and "Heaven: To the Land of Happiness" by director Im Sang-soo, starring Choi Min-sik and Park Hae-il were selected.
Organizers said all 200 seats were sold on the day they started online sales of tickets for the opening and closing films, and the remaining 200 seats will be sold on-site.
Director Ryoo Seung-wan's "Mogadishu" and director Lee Joon-ik's "The Book of Fish," which were the opening and closing films of last year's Paris Korean Film Festival also sold out 400 seats last year.
Director Han Jae-rim's "Emergency Declaration," who was invited to the Cannes Film Festival last year and this year, and actor Lee Jung-jae's directing debut film "Hunt" will also be screened for French audiences at the festival.
In addition, the festival has also planned a schedule where directors and audiences can communicate face-to-face, which had to be omitted over the past two years due to COVID-19.
