SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- Ulsan Yaksa-dong Embankment Museum is done with the reorganization and has now reopened.
 
The re-opened museum focused on delivering information about relics and the culture of water management to family visitors with children in an easier and more enjoyable way.

 

The exhibition site consists of the Embankment at Yaksa-dong exhibition room, the Yaksa-dong relic exhibition room, and a themed exhibition room.
 
Visitors will be able to look around the structure of the embankment in Yaksa-dong, the way it is built, the process of excavation of relics, and the relics excavated at the Embankment at Yaksa-dong exhibition room.
 
There is an exhibit that shows the cut of the original 8-meter-tall embankment.
 
Visitors will be able to observe the relics excavated around the embankment of Yaksa-dong, which are from the Bronze Age, History of the Three Kingdoms, Goryeo dynasty, and Joseon dynasty, in one glance.
 
The themed exhibition room was created to help visitors better understand the history embedded in old documents and stories.
 
Embankment at Yaksa-dong, Ulsan, is an ancient water management facility that was built in the 6th and 7th centuries, and it was designated as an historic site in 2014.
 
The original length of the embankment is estimated to be about 155 m, and the height of the remaining embankment is 4.5-8 m. The cross-section of the embankment exhibits a trapezoid shape.
