SEOUL November 18 (yonhap) -- South Korean comedic drama about a romantic relationship between top star actress and ordinary man “Fanletter Please” will premiere on November 18.
“fairytale like romance” adding “Instead of focusing on the competitive nature of our society i wanted to focus on. The bright hopeful side of life throughout the series” director Jeong Sang-hee introduced the upcoming series during the press conference held at the head quarter of MBC in Mapo district Seoul on November 17.
“Fanletter Please” which received a script award from MBC’s script contest has been created into a series with four episodes. The drama is about a romance between an actress who faces the biggest roadblock in her life and an ordinary guy, who is in need of a reply letter from the actress in order to protect his daughter’s innocence.
“Love story between a top star and an ordinary male figure is very redundant topic, however, the unique way the writer interconnects with the characters appearing throughout the series and protagonist’s uniqueness makes this series special.” adding “Despite of the protagonist being a top star, series is about our lives.” announced director Jeong Sang-hee during the press conference.
S.Korean actress Choi Soo-young who acted out protagonist Han Gang-hee who faces the biggest hurdle of her life due to the fan letter stated “Han Gang-hee, despite of her fame as a top star feels very lonely, however she manages to live the life. I think I had good amount of connection with the character.”
Continuing on, actress stated “Since it is a very short series, we put a lot of effort into this production,” adding “Because the foundation was so solid, I asked the director was it necessary to take it this far often throughout the shooting.”
Protagonist Han Gang-hee attracted attention wherever she went since her days as a child actress, however as she got famous the number of those who wants her to fall from the top increased, therefore she has emotional scars.
