'2022 KHNP MusicFarm Festival' featuring PSY, Brave Girls to kick off on September 23

SEOUL September 15 (Yonhap) -- Starting on September 23 through September 24, “2022 Uljin KHNP MuiscFarm Festival” will be held at the special stage within Uljin Stadium, located in Uljin County, in north Gyeongsang province, announced Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co. shortened as KNHP on Thursday.

“KHNP MusicFarm Festival” will feature stages of famous K-pop stars and visitors can enjoy the music along with the nature. The venue originated in 2007 and gradually became one of the well known festivals held within the east coast of South Korea.

“2022 KHNP MusicFarm Festival” will be held under the theme of “Hope” for two consecutive days in hope to med the scars of people caused by the Uljin wildfire and because they have canceled “2021 KHNP MusicFarm Festival” due to covid19.

On the first day of the festival South Korean traditional genre of music Trot singer Park Hyun-bin, Hong-ja, Yang Ji-eun and K-pop duo Norajo and more will take the stage.

On the second day of the festival, K-pop super star PSY, girl group Brave Girls, female singer Lyn, and more will perform on stage.

According to the KHNP, in order to rejuvenate the local businesses and markets, the festival will be featuring flea market, food trucks, vendors for Uljin’s unique goods, and more.

Concert will start at 6 p.m. and the audience will be allowed to enter the concert starting at 5 p.m. for free.

KHNP is planning on handing out 500 of the number tags starting at 10 a.m. for those who plan to wait in line for better seating at the concert.

Audiences with the number tag will be granted with the entrance starting at 4 p.m. instead of 5 p.m.

The venue can accommodate roughly ten thousand people.
