SEOUL, July 16 (Yonhap) -- Source Music, the agency behind the girl group Le Sserafim, has filed a damages lawsuit worth 500 million won against Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR.

Source Music announced on the 15th, "We have filed a damages lawsuit against CEO Min Hee-jin with the Seoul Western District Court."

The lawsuit reportedly stems from Source Music's claim that Min Hee-jin made several false assertions related to the company while in conflict with its parent company, HYBE. Among the members of NewJeans, some were former trainees of Source Music.

In April, Min Hee-jin held a press conference where she claimed that HYBE broke its promise to debut NewJeans as its first girl group, that Source Music neglected NewJeans members, and that HYBE did not actively promote NewJeans.

Previously, Belift Lab, the agency of the girl group ILLIT, also filed both criminal charges and a civil damages lawsuit against Min Hee-jin over similar allegations of plagiarism.
