SEOUL, Sept. 19 (Yonhap) -- Girl group KARA, who gained great popularity in the late 2000s and early 2010s, will return with a new album in November for the first time in seven years, RBW said on Monday.
KARA debuted in 2007 released hit songs such as "Pretty Girl," "Mr.," "Honey," and "Lupin," becoming one of top 'second generation' girl group along with Girls' Generation.
The group held a solo concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan for the first time as a K-pop girl group after song "Mr." became very popular in Japan, leading the Korean Wave in the music industry.
It is the first time in seven and a half years that Kara has released an album as a whole since their seventh mini album "In Love," released in May 2015. Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, and Heo Young-ji, as well as Nicole and Kang Ji-young, who left in 2014, will all gather for new album.
The new album is released to mark their 15th debut anniversary. It will be released by RBW, which acquired DSP Media, original agency.
Kara said, "Since it is an album prepared for fans who have loved and supported us for a long time, I want to enjoy the album which is full of happy and bright energy like a festival with fans."
