'The Point Men' featuring Hwang Jung-min and Hyun Bin exceeds 1 million audiences

SEOUL January 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korean block buster film “The Point Men” featuring actor Hwang Jung-min and Hyun Bin has managed to exceed total of 1 million admissions on the seventh day of its released, addressed movie provider Plus M Entertainment.

Movie “The Point Men” by director Yim Soon-rye addresses the incident where members of South Korean church Saemmool who flew out to volunteer in Afghanistan getting held hostage by the Taliban in 2007 and South Korean government officials work extremely hard to bring the hostages home safely.

Despite of the wide spread of COVID-19 the movie was shot in Jordan for the first time in history of South Korean films which provided audiences with immersion to the film. On top of director Yim Soon-rye’s in detailed way of filming, actor Hyun Bin and Hwang Jung-min’s collaboration received a lot of positive reviews.

Ever since the movie premiered on January 18, “The Point Men” is guarding its place on top of the South Korean box office.
