SEOUL December 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean director Park Chan-wook’s “Decision to Leave” has been selected as one of the candidates for the “95th Academy Award (Oscar) awards for artistic and technical merit for the American and International film industry.”
AMPAS, shortened for Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, released a shortlist including director Park Chan-wook’s film “Decision to Leave” on Thursday.
Within 92 of the submitted candidates from various nations, 15 of the films were selected to be included within the shortlist AMPAS released.
On January 24, AMPAS will release the final 5 candidates for the “95th Academy Award (Oscar).”
Various films such as “1985,” “Return To Seoul,” “Close” and more of the movies were included along with Park Chan-wook’s “Decision to Leave.”
“95th Academy Award (Oscar)” will take place in Dolby theater in Los Angeles United States on March 12.
