"I wanted to give them a face."
French Photographer Stephan Gladieu had the chance to gain access to one of the most secretive countries in the world – North Korea. Though he was followed by two North Korean guides everywhere he went, he tried to find a space of freedom within the limitations he faced. As a result, he was able to offer a rare and honest glimpse into everyday life in North Korea through his portraits of the society.
