BTS' 'Butter' selected for Spotify's 'Songs of Summer' soundtrack

SEOUL, July 2 (Yonhap) -- K-pop megastar BTS' hit summer number "Butter" has been named as one of the "Songs of Summer" on Spotify, the world's largest music platform announced on July 1.

Songs of Summer is a playlist made up with a number of songs Spotify predicts to be the worldwide soundtrack for the summer of 2021.

"Butter" will be the first song made by Korean artists to be selected. In addition to "Butter," 25 other songs were picked this year, including Dua Lipa's "Levitating," Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits," and Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More."
