Committee passes bill seeking probe into first lady again
The Legislation and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly passes an opposition-led bill to appoint an independent counsel to investigate allegations involving the first lady at a plenary session on Nov. 8, 2024, with committee members from the ruling People Power Party absent in protest. This is the third attempt, as President Yoon Suk Yeol has vetoed the bill twice before. (Yonhap)
