Ahead of holidays

Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul is crowded with travelers on Sept. 29, 2024, ahead of three holidays in the coming weeks. The government designated Armed Forces Day on Oct. 1 as a temporary holiday, and South Korea also celebrates National Foundation Day on Oct. 3 and Hangeul Day on Oct. 9 as public holidays. (Yonhap)
