Thermometer of love

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon (2nd from R, front) and other participants take part in a ceremony in the capital on Dec. 1, 2025, to unveil the "thermometer of love" that goes up by one degree whenever 1 percent of the target donations are collected as part of a nationwide charity event. The dedication of the thermometer came as the Community Chest of Korea, a charity group, launched a nationwide campaign aimed at encouraging people to make donations for the needy to achieve the target of 450 billion won (US$306.33 million). The campaign will run till the end of January at its branches in 17 cities nationwide. (Yonhap)
