Retirement ceremony for S. Korea's 1st submarine

The ROKS Jang Bogo, South Korea's first naval submarine, is moored during its retirement ceremony at the Submarine Force Command in Changwon, some 380 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on Dec. 29, 2025, two days before it is officially decommissioned following 34 years of service protecting the nation's maritime sovereignty.
