Acting President Han to receive briefings from presidential office this week

SEOUL, Dec. 16 (Yonhap) -- Acting President Han Duck-soo plans to receive briefings from presidential aides this week as he assumed the caretaker role following an impeachment vote against President Yoon Suk Yeol, Han's office said Monday.

Han was briefed by Park Chun-sup, senior secretary for economic affairs, at the government complex in Seoul earlier in the day, two days after Yoon was suspended from office following the passage of the impeachment motion against him.

Throughout the week, Han is scheduled to receive briefings from presidential aides on social affairs, science and technology and responses to the low birth rate, according to his office.
