Harvesting edible shoots of angelica trees

A resident harvests edible shoots of angelica trees, known as "dureup" in Korean, in Geochang, South Gyeongsang Province, southeastern South Korea, on April 16, 2025, in this photo released by the Geochang municipal government. Dureup, one of the best spring greens in Korea, is good for preventing diseases of later life, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and also works as an anti-cancer agent. Koreans usually prepare dureup, a delicacy in spring, by boiling it and dipping it in vinegar-flavored red pepper paste. (PHOTO NOT FOR SALE) (Yonhap)
