SEOUL, May 6 (Yonhap) -- Novasonic, a band who has left a significant trace in Korean rock music with their rapcore and metal-oriented music, will return with a new song commemorating their 22nd anniversary.

According to the band's agency, PA Entertainment, Novasonic wll release their 22nd anniversary album sequentially, starting with "Another Day," featuring Park Wan-kyu on May 6th.

Their to-be released album is the first in 12 years since they dropped "metamorphosis" in 2010 for their 10th anniversary album.

The album was made by bassist Kim Yeong-seok, the main member of Novasonic, drummer Lee Soo-yong, guitarist Jung -hyun, who joined the group when they were making "metamorphosis," and keyboardist Choi Moon-seok, a newly joined member.

The vacant vocal position was filled with featured singers who are old friends or juniors of Novasonic.

The collaboration single, "Another Day," for 'Part 1' of the album, is a song that features Park Wan-kyu's calm voice singing as if he were telling a story.

PA Entertainment reported that Park Wan-kyu was the number one featured singer favored by Novasonic when they were working on their third album, but unfortunately couldn't work with each other at the time. The band and Park later met again at a memorial performance for the late Shin Hae-chul, and Park became the first vocalist to collaborate.

The guitar solo in the middle of the song is a featuring gift from Lim Sang-mook, a guitarist from the band, Crash.

Starting off with "Another Day," collaboration songs from different music genres will be released sequentially every week.

Hong Kyung-min and DJ Wreckx (Choi Jae-hwa) will feature in Part 2, Lee Ji-hoon and Kang Sung-ho for Part 3, Koh Yoo-jin (Flower) for Part 4, and Hong Kyung-min and the original member of Novasonic, Kim Jin-pyo, will complete the commemorative mini album with a total of five songs.
