SEOUL, June 25 (Yonhap) -- K-pop act Seventeen's latest eight mini-album "Your Choice," surpassed 1.36 million album sales in a week, according to its agency on Friday.

The 13-member boy group celebrated its sixth debut anniversary last week by releasing "Your Choice" on June 18, and has sold 1,364,127 copies within a week.

The current highest sales recorded by Seventeen within the first week of release is 270,000 copies more than its previous EP "Heng: garae," which sold 1.09 million copies. Among all the albums released in Korea this year, Seventeen's eighth EP owns the highest weekly sales volume.

The EP sold 880,000 copies on the day of its release and 1.14 million copies were sold four days after, allowing Seventeen to add another million-selling album to its collection.

The album received positive responses from overseas fans as it topped Japan's Oricon daily album chart as 1st place and No. 2 on the weekly album chart. "Your Choice" also ranked No.1 on iTunes top album chart in 18 regions.

During a news conference held upon the release of "Your Choice," SEVENTEEN said it hopes to break into the U.S. Billboard main singles or album chart. The K-pop act also recently started targeting the U.S. music market by appearing on famous talk shows such as ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show.
