S. Korean peacekeepers head for S. Sudan
A ceremony to dispatch the 19th batch of the 300-strong Hanbit unit to South Sudan takes place at the International Peace Supporting Standby Force in Incheon, west of Seoul, on Dec. 2, 2024. South Korea began troop deployments to South Sudan in 2013 at the U.N.'s request in accordance with a U.N. Security Council resolution aimed at assisting peaceful reconstruction work. (Yonhap)
