January 26, 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Lee Soo-hyun, a Korean exchange student who died while trying to save a Japanese man who fell onto the train tracks in Tokyo in 2001. Lee’s sacrifice has touched the hearts of many in both Korea and Japan, and he lives on as a symbol of friendly ties between the two neighboring countries.
