Red bean porridge

Staff members of the Korean Folk Village in Yongin, south of Seoul, make red bean porridge on Dec. 21, 2025, to celebrate Dongji, the longest night of the year, which falls the following day. It is believed that the red color of the beans can expel bad luck. (Yonhap)
