SEOUL, May 31 (Yonhap) -- American singer-songwriter MAX, who has collaborated with Suga of global superstar BTS, will join BTS agency Hybe's fan community Weverse.
Weverse Company, a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation, said that Max will open a fan community on Weverse on the 31st.
He is the sixth foreign artist to settle in Weverse after Gracie Abrams, the New Hope Club, Alexander 23, Jeremy Zucker and Pretty Much.
Max plans to communicate with fans on Weverse ahead of the release of his new single "Butterflies" next month.
With his husky vocals and a wide range of music, he gained popularity for his first full-length album "Hell's Kitchen Angel" with more than 2 billion streams in 2016.
The single "Lights Down Low" released in 2019 achieved triple platinum by posting sales of 3 million copies.
He also made his presence known to local fans by participating in Suga's mixtape song "Burn It," while Suga featured in Max's song "Blueberry Eyes." He also held his first concert in Seoul last year.
