SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) -- K-pop rookie boy group, ENHYPEN has topped Japan's Oricon weekly album charts for two consecutive weeks.
According to the announcement Oricon has made on the 11th, ENHYPEN's second mini album "BORDER: CARNIVAL," which was released on April 26th, remained at the top of the Oricon weekly album chart from May 3rd to the 9th.
The boy group have previously topped the charts based on the records from April 26th to May 2nd, for the first time.
ENHYPEN is the only singer(s) to have topped the Oricon weekly album chart out of all the Japanese and foreign singers for two consecutive weeks this year.
The album topped the monthly album charts in April on the Hanteo Chart and Gaon Chart after just five days worth of album sales in Korea.
Based on the Gaon Chart, a cumulative sale of 522,136 albums in April recorded ENHYPEN to become "half-million sellers."
ENHYPEN debuted in November last year and have made impressive records, including their second mini album, "BORDER: CARNIVAL," which was released on the fifth month of their debut, showing off their wide fan base in Korea and worldwide.
The boy group will be releasing their debut single "BORDER: Hakanai" in Japan on July 6th.
The album will feature a total of three songs, including the original Japanese song, the title track "Given-Taken," of their debut album "Border: Day One," and the Japanese version of their B-side track "Let Me In."
