BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' breaks 900 mln views on YouTube

SEOUL, June 25 (Yonhap) -- The all-female act BLACKPINK's music video for its song "How You Like That," surpassed 900 million views on YouTube on the 24th, according to YG Entertainment on Friday.

The record came in about a year since it was released last June and became BLACKPINK's fifth music video with 900 million views.

The 2020 hit racked up 86.3 million views on the first day of its release, and was listed by Guinness World Records as the most watched YouTube video in a span of 24 hours.

The four-piece act has a large fan base with 60 million YouTube subscribers and each individual member is a global ambassador for various global luxury brands.

Lisa, the group's Thai member, was selected as the first K-pop artist to be the global ambassador for Bulgari, an Italian jewelry brand, and recently released a campaign photo for the brand's new "Magnifica" collection.

Meanwhile, the special movie "BLACKPINK the Movie," which commemorates the fifth anniversary of the girl group's debut, will be available at CGV cinema chains in South Korea on August 4. The film will also hit theaters in around 100 countries.
