Happy 설날 (Seollal) everyone!
Seollal is the first day of the Korean calendar and this year, it falls on Feb. 12.
During this time, we do a lot of things to celebrate the holiday such as heading our hometowns to visit family, performing an ancestor ritual and the best part- eating traditional foods.
But this year, since it has been difficult for many people to travel across the country to visit their family due to COVID-19, the ready-made New Year’s foods were released in convenience stores for single or small households.
I bought three different foods from 7-Eleven nearby and microwaved them all to show you some of our New Year's foods!
