Boeing to showcase advanced defense systems at Seoul ADEX 2025

SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Yonhap) -- U.S. aerospace giant Boeing Co. said Wednesday it plans to showcase its advanced defense platforms at the upcoming Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2025) set to open next week.

At the biennial defense show slated for Oct. 20-24 at KINTEX in Goyang, just northwest of Seoul, the company said it will emphasize how multiple platforms can operate in a networked and integrated manner to boost battlefield effectiveness and mission success.

Key platforms to be featured include the uncrewed MQ-28 Ghost Bat, F-15K Slam Eagle fighter jet, E-7 Airborne Early Warning & Control aircraft, P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter.

"Boeing's 75-year partnership with Korea is a testament to our shared commitment to innovation, security and industrial collaboration," Will Shaffer, president of Boeing Korea, said. "As we celebrate this milestone, we are proud to showcase how our advanced defense systems provide the Republic of Korea with unmatched capabilities to meet evolving security challenges."

Boeing's cooperation with South Korea dates back to 1950, when it supplied the DC-3 passenger aircraft to the country's first civil airline, Korean National Airlines, the predecessor of Korean Air.

In August, Korean Air Co. announced a plan to purchase 103 next-generation Boeing aircraft, including the B787-10, worth US$36.2 billion in the single-largest aircraft order in the South Korean airline's history.
