SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Yonhap) -- Superband BTS member V has been confirmed with COVID-19, the agency Big Hit Music said on Tuesday.

"As V had mild sore throat symptoms, he visited the hospital that day for a PCR test, and was confirmed with COVID-19," the agency added.

He completed two rounds of vaccinations and was not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat, according to the agency.

He met other members of BTS on Saturday, but there was no close contact since they were all wearing masks.

None of the other BTS members are showing any symptoms, and everyone has tested negative, according to the agency.

This is the fifth confirmed case of BTS. In December last year, Suga, RM, Jin, and Jimin were diagnosed with COVID-19. The four have since recovered.
