K-pop superband BTS kicked off its "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS" concert, which was held at the Allegiant Stadium, on Apr. 8 afternoon(U.S. Time).

The venue can accommodate about 65,000 spectators per concert. The fans who wore purple clothes or dyed their hair purple, symbolizing BTS, gathered at the concert hall while holding the "ARMY BOMB" in their hands.

Large pop-up stores selling concert official merchandises also lined up from the daytime. The daytime temperature in Las Vegas exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, but fans enjoyed choosing various products regardless of the heat.

At the promotional booth provided by the Korea Tourism Organization on one side of the concert hall, foreign fans experienced Hanbok, the traditional Korean clothes.

BTS will perform once more on Apr. 9 and continue its concert from Apr. 15 to 16 after taking a short break.

During the concert, a photo exhibition and a pop-up store covering the preparation process of the concert will be held in downtown Las Vegas, where you can enjoy the "Bellagio Fountain Show," which is one of the world's top three fountain shows, along with BTS music.

◇BTS performs at Grammy Awards for third consecutive year…fails to win Grammy this year

K-pop superband BTS has grabbed the attention of music fans around the world with a suspense-filled performance of its 2021 megahit single "Butter" on the stage of this year's Grammy Awards ceremony.

The septet was fourth on the star-studded lineup of performers of the 64th edition of the show held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday.

Dressed in all black like spy agents, the group made a tense entry onto the stage to perform "Butter" with Jung-kook descending on a wire from the top of the stage and V pulling a card from behind Olivia Rodrigo's head.

The group then presented a spectacular show reminiscent of a scene from an spy thriller, jumping over lines made of laser light, throwing business cards or taking off their jackets, tying them together like a rope and pretending to play it like a guitar.

It marked the third consecutive year that the group has performed in the awards ceremony. Last year, it presented a performance recorded from the rooftop of a high-rise building in Seoul due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BTS was nominated for best pop duo or group performance with its megahit "Butter" for the 64th Grammy Awards but left the ceremony empty-handed on Monday.

The honor went to the Doja Cat-SZA duo with its hit song "Kiss Me More" during the ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Although BTS failed to take home an honor at the Grammy Awards, member V, who was caught on-camera leaning in to whisper sweet nothings into the ear of Olivia Rodrigo, has been selected as one of the five stand-out moments by BBC.
