SEOUL, Jan. 18(Yonhap) - Netflix has announced that it will release Part 2 of the school violence revenge drama "The Glory" starring Song Hye-kyo on March 10, on Wednesday.
"The Glory" is the story of Moon Dong-eun played by Song Hye-kyo, who broke her soul due to violence in her childhood, who carefully prepared her whole life for revenge and fell into the vortex of it.
There are a total of 16 episodes, and Part 1 including 1st to 8th episodes, which was released on the 30th of last month, shows school life of Moon Dong-eun, who was being bullied, and Moon Dong-eun, who became an adult preparing for revenge step by step.
In Part 2, revenge is expected to begin in earnest.
Writer Kim Eun-sook, who wrote the drama, said, "If you watched Part 1, you won't be able to endure it without watching Part 2, and added, "Satisfying scenes are concentrated in Part 2."
Director Ahn Gil-ho, who was in charge of directing, also hinted, "The fight between Dong-eun and Yeon-jin, who was the leader of school violence will begin in earnest," adding, "The story of the perpetrators being punished will unfold dynamically."
"The Glory" has accumulated 148 million viewing hours since Part 1 was released on the 30th of last month. As of the third week of its release, it ranked first in eight countries, including South Korea, and was listed as the "TOP 10" in 34 countries.
